Prelude: The Threshold Between Years
A short series written for the space between finishing and beginning – when something has completed its work, but what comes next has not yet taken form.
Many experience this interval as restlessness, anticipation, or a subtle sense of being held in place.
Rather than rushing toward resolution, these reflections invite discernment and attention to:
Timing
What is still completing
How movement becomes possible when wisdom is allowed to lead
This is not about accumulating more insight.
It is about readiness – so that when change arrives, it is substantial and real.
This series marks the final integration of the Snake before the forward motion of the Fire Horse begins.

Late Snake Integration: Stay With What Is Unwinding
We are in the final days of January, and everything is quietly continuing to align… at the threshold of the Fire Horse’s power. As Neptune shifts into Aries, many may sense a fire intelligence rising through the spine, braiding opposites into coherence. The nervous system recognizes this first as alignment, not urgency.
It is like heat moving through internal wiring before the current is fully restored.
Your Body Recognizes Alignment First
During these final days in January, your body will become the messenger if you allow it to. Many will notice warmth along the spine, perhaps pressure in the chest or throat, clearing through the digestive tract, or waves of exhaustion combined with sudden clarity. Sleep may fragment. Dreams may intensify. These are not disturbances; they are signals of recalibration.
The nervous system is rewiring in preparation for a stronger current. The Fire Horse’s momentum begins in mid-February and will carry forward for the next twelve months.
The Snake year offered a long season of discernment, shedding, and refinement. It invited us to observe carefully, to move with precision, and to release skins that no longer served – identities, habits, loyalties, even beliefs about who we held ourselves to be! What was ready to go simply loosened its grip.
Why the Shedding Needed Meaning
The final week is not another cutting away.
It is an invitation to understand why the shedding mattered and to forgive what needed to fall away - not as judgment, but as truth reclaiming its place.
Slowness here is not stagnation. It is intelligence.
Before The Fire Horse
Mid-February brings a different quality of energy – outward, forward-thrusting, catalytic. As we approach the Year of the Fire Horse, speed, fire, and forward momentum will return. The wisdom we gather now is not meant to remain abstract; it will soon be lived, embodied, and expressed through action.
But first, there is this.
This week asks us to listen to:
the silence before the fire, and
the stillness beneath the movement
In doing so, we cross this threshold not just wiser but more whole. What follows will be embodied, authentic, and sustainable.
An Invitation to Support
Thresholds often reveal where support is not optional, but wise.
Integration is not meant to be navigated alone. Periods of release often activate the nervous system in ways that call not for pressure, but for support.
Seeking guidance during times of transition is not a sign of weakness — it is an act of discernment.

Take three slow breaths
Then say softly (aloud or inwardly):
“What has finished may rest.”
“What is still shedding may soften.”
“What is becoming may rise in its own time.”
The Wrap - Final Echo
No intention to set.
No future to force.
Just your presence.
The Snake is completing her work.
The Fire Horse is approaching – quietly, steadily – like a warm breath over your shoulder.
Some thresholds are crossed in silence. This is where power aligns before it moves forward.
What I have shared here is only the prelude as the Snake energies of 2025 wind down, and the Fire Horse prepares to step forward.
