We Are Still Here
On February 17, we enter the Year of the Fire Horse.
But for a couple of days longer, we’re still in the Year of the Snake.
The Year of the Snake has been a season of shedding.
Old identities.
Survival patterns.
The stories that are already dead – though we still lug them around.
The Threshold State
Whether you feel like you are standing at the threshold or on the edge…
Whether you feel dense and hunkered down, or quiet, called inward rather than forward…
Alone in a way that no one can fix – as if something still has to come off, but it won’t release on command…
This is your last skin coming loose.
The Skin That Held On
The part of you that hung on the longest.
The most deeply rooted identity you almost carried forward.
The story that resists a tidy closure.
Have faith in the snake to complete its inside work. Quietly. Somewhat uncomfortably.
Why the Snake Sheds
The snake does not shed because it wants to.
It sheds because staying the same becomes heavier than changing.
When we do not consciously release what is no longer serving us, the body and nervous system will eventually do it for us.
Stillness Before Release
The snake does not shed by force.
It becomes still. Finds shelter. Presses against what’s rough.
Rocks, branches, roots… life itself.
The Final Pieces
The skin peels not because it is pushed, but because the body is ready to be finished.
The skin that takes the longest to release requires the most patience.
You are not stuck – these are the last pieces.
Only that which is real will remain, and what is not will slough off.
Trust your body.
Trust your nervous system.
They know how to let go.
What Quietly Surfaces Now
In these final days, quiet reflection may surface:
What is the friction you’ve been avoiding in your life?
What are you still holding on to that no longer fits?
What helps these final pieces break loose?
What have you outgrown, even if you are reluctant to name it?

The tail end of February's first days mark a closing window for:
Radical honesty
The release of old skin
Quiet endings
Preparing us for:
Movement
Strength
Freedom
Leadership
What Moves Forward With You
It is time to run free with purpose.
It is time to live consciously.
What you leave undone here moves forward with you into the Fire Horse year.
The Wrap – From Completion to Momentum
The Snake Wraps, closing cycles, and clearing your path internally.
The Horse moves us into the future, where we can have good fortune with strength and determination.
The Fire Horse isn’t moved by pressure.
It doesn’t rush.
It doesn’t reward effort.
It responds to alignment and shifts through preparedness.
What accelerates next depends on what you release now.
The Year of the Snake taught us how to release and let go.
The Year of the Fire Horse invites us into movement, transformation, and freedom.
And until we connect again….
