The Eclipse Season Is Closing — Now the Real Work Begins

Updated: Mar 22

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been moving through what astronomers call an eclipse season.

This particular window included two events:

  • February 17 — Annular Solar Eclipse

  • March 3 — Total Lunar Eclipse

Eclipses tend to arrive about two weeks apart when the Sun aligns with the points where the Moon’s orbit crosses Earth’s orbital path. That alignment creates a short window where eclipses become possible.

That window is now closing.

The next celestial marker ahead is the Spring Equinox on March 20, when day and night briefly return to balance.

This corridor between the March 3 lunar eclipse and the Spring Equinox on March 20 has also unfolded during a Mercury retrograde in Pisces — a phenomenon traditionally associated with revisiting conversations, reconsidering plans, and noticing what may need correction or clarification.

Mercury retrogrades occur several times each year, but a retrograde moving through Pisces appears far less often, roughly every six or seven years. The timing reinforces something many people have been experiencing during this same window: a natural pause to look again at what has surfaced before moving forward.

While astronomers watch the sky, most people tend to notice something else during these periods.

They notice their lives.

During the eclipse corridor, many people felt things stirring — emotions, realizations, tensions that had been waiting just below the surface for attention.

  • Some people felt exhausted

  • Some felt restless

  • Some suddenly found themselves questioning situations that had felt normal only weeks earlier.]

  • Relationships that had been slowly drifting apart suddenly became clearer

  • Situations we’ve been tolerating began to feel harder to ignore

  • Emotions we had been outrunning finally caught up with us.]

Think of it like a storm that moves through the atmosphere.

The winds pick up.

The sky darkens.

Things get stirred around.

Afterward, the air becomes clearer and easier to breathe.

That is the phase we are beginning to enter now.

The eclipse doesn’t create these things. It reveals them.

In many ways what people have just moved through was a period of exposure — personally and collectively.

The eclipse itself is not the work.

The eclipse simply shows us what needs attention.

Now that this corridor is closing, a new clarity takes hold.

The emotional waves settle.

The sky clears.

Perspective returns.

And we are left standing with what we saw — and can no longer unsee.

This is where the real work begins.

The real work is:

  • Taking the clarity that surfaced – doing something with it

  • Letting go of what we know no longer fits.

  • Having the conversations we’ve been avoiding.

  • Adjusting patterns that we know deep down are no longer aligned with who we’re becoming.

Awareness alone doesn’t change our lives.

Action does.

The eclipse stirred the waters.

What we do with what surfaced afterward — that’s where real transformation begins.

The sky has already moved on.

Now it’s our turn to do the same, clearing what no longer fits as we approach the Spring Equinox.

Thank you for being here, and until we meet again….
