Not everything that involves you is about you.

That distinction changes everything — your relationships, your peace, your ability to lead without carrying what was never yours.

You are responsible for your words, your tone, your choices, your integrity. This is yours.

You are not responsible for another person's history, expectations, mood, or the unresolved narratives they carry into the room. That is theirs.

Every interaction is an intersection of two interior worlds.

When something feels charged, the reflex is often to assume ownership. Sometimes you should. Often, you shouldn't.

The work is not detachment from accountability. It is discernment.

What here is mine? What here is not?

Taking responsibility where it belongs builds strength. Taking on what does not belong to you erodes it.

Most reactions directed at you are a reflection of the other person's internal landscape — not a verdict on yours.

Don't take personally what isn't about you.

This discernment is the foundation of kind, respectful engagement — and without it, even good intentions become interference.

Consider This: Don't personalize what isn't personal. Very little is.
